Elderflower Whiskey Sour
A refined twist on the classic whiskey sour — Jameson Select Reserve meets elderflower syrup for a smooth, floral, perfectly balanced cocktail.
Ingredients
- 120 ml Jameson Select Reserve (double shot per person: 60 ml each)
- 50 ml fresh lemon juice
- 30 ml elderflower-flavoured syrup (adjust to taste if your syrup is very sweet)
- 1 egg white
- 4–6 dashes Angostura bitters
- Ice
Directions
- Dry shake (important): Add the whiskey, lemon juice, elderflower syrup, egg white, and Angostura bitters to a shaker without ice. Shake hard for 15–20 seconds to emulsify the egg white.
- Shake with ice: Add ice and shake again for 15 seconds until well chilled.
- Strain: Double-strain into two chilled coupe or rocks glasses (no ice for a classic sour, or over a large cube if preferred).
- Finish: Add 1–2 extra dashes of Angostura on top of the foam for aroma.
